2020 – Season 3

Welcome to 2020: Season 3.

That’s it. All I’ve got. We’ve surpassed daytime soaps in terms of ridiculous.

I kept telling myself that the reason I put off writing in this thing for 6 months was because I needed to focus on my other projects. That was a lie. I think I just wanted to avoid contributing to the already toxic social conversation.

So, yeah, whatever. Drink bleach. Bathe in Lysol. Top your eggs with horse de-wormer. Copy and paste memes and tweets and regurgitate opinions that have no factual weight. Take your medical advice from Joe Rogan. Argue about freedoms that don’t exist and keep taking hefty shits on responsibility. Let those pies cool on your window sills. Toss your hate at the old white guy in charge. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. The other side will get their turn in a few years and nothing will change. We’ll still be paying for Netflix, Disney +, and Covid MAX. Go on and keep wondering why the pandemic won’t end despite the constant pushback against masks and vaccines. That one guy from high school definitely has the insider knowledge on how the dark schemes are unfolding and he’s the only one capable of opening our scared little eyes. Bah. Bah. Sheeple. Bah. Bah. Truth is out there. Blah. Blah. Insert current TikTok trend here.

I bet if you told people that the Covid vaccine prevented abortions and kept their kids from being gay, the pandemic would end that very day. Right on the spot.

Should we expect any plot twists this season? Probably. Will anyone care? Doubtful.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was incredible. I won’t get into it now. Some folks haven’t seen it yet and spoilers are a big NO NO.

Dexter: New Blood was very cool. Removed a good chunk of the bitter taste left behind after Season 8.

I’m currently watching Yellowjackets. I’m not trying to stretch it out — I just have a shit time at managing my time these days. It’s good so far. Looks to be another Showtime hit.

The Department of Truth definitely wins comic of the year for me. I’d recommend it for anyone who enjoys the classic conspiracy theories. Stillwater is also a great read. Something is Killing the Children has been stellar.

It’s cold and I haven’t slept much. Hoorah.

Keith, I’m glad we got to have Christmas dinner together. I know I was shit company but at least we could share in our dislike for the holidays. Rest easy.

Be good to each other.
